CHUCK PROFUS - legendary speed/thrash metal drummer & founding member of very longtime HardRadio friends AGENT STEEL died quietly at his Los Angeles home at the age of 61 on June 4. Profus fulfilled his dream of being a pro drummer when he co-founded Agent Steel with John Cyriis in 1983. Their first show was opening for Slayer on the opening date of Haunting The Chapel launch at the world-famous Country Club in Reseda, CA. With the entire Metal music industry present the band bulldozed through a 30-minute set of classics like “Taken By Force”, “Agents Of Steel”, “Bleed For The Godz” and “144,000 Gone” and everyone understood the band was the next big thing in the era of Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Exodus and Anthrax. Cees Wessels (Roadrunner Records) and Barry Kobrin (Combat Records) signed the band immediately and they recorded the classics Skeptics Apocalypse, Mad Locust Rising, and Unstoppable Force.

LiquidDeath.com is going to be selling the DNA of one of its celebrity ambassadors for future cloning with the limited edition release of Infinite Ozzy from Liquid Death. The release will feature ultra-limited empty cans of Liquid Death Iced Tea that were drank by very longtime HardRadio friend OZZY OSBOURNE himself and contain his DNA. “Yes, we really got the Prince of Darkness to drink from 10 cans of our low-calorie Iced Tea,” begins a statement from Liquid Death. “And yes, he actually crushed each can himself. In the process, he left behind trace DNA from his saliva that you can now own. He even hand-signed each packaging label.”

On August 15, 1972, the lauded Mk2 lineup of DEEP PURPLE featuring Ian Gillan, Ritchie Blackmore, Roger Glover, Jon Lord & Ian Paice, took the stage in Japan for the first of three shows that would give rise to one of rock’s most celebrated live albums, Made In Japan. Deep Purple now announces a new Super Deluxe Edition of the landmark release, due out August 15 – exactly 53 years after the first performance was recorded. Made In Japan (Super Deluxe Edition) features new stereo and Dolby ATMOS mixes of the original live recording.
