The Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund, the non-profit charitable fund formed in honor of the late longtime HardRadio friend and legendary Ronnie James Dio, who lost his life to stomach cancer on May 16, 2010, shared the following news July 10: "Today, we wished Ronnie a happy 83rd birthday with a plaque unveiling for the RONNIE JAMES DIO STAND UP AND SHOUT SALIVA STORAGE ROOM in the UCLA School of Dentistry's Center for Oral/Head & Neck Oncology Research. The room houses thousands of samples used to develop early cancer detection via liquid biopsy testing, the brainchild of Dr. David Wong whose research the Dio Cancer Fund has supported since 2016.
Anthrax singer JOEY BELLADONNA will once again pay tribute to the late, great Ronnie James Dio when he brings his tribute band to the Sunshine State next month. The group also features guitarist Mike Rivera, bassist Rob Stokes and drummer Jim McCourt performing music from Dio, Black Sabbath and Rainbow.
