Roy Coston has launched a GoFundMe fundraiser in support of JOHN GALLAGHER - frontman of UK heavy metal legends and very longtime HardRadio friends RAVEN. Says Coston: "As many of you know, Mr. John Gallagher was admitted to hospital with a massive headache on August 12th. Following a CAT scan, it was determined that he was suffering from a bleed on the brain, Subdural Hematoma. Surgery was planned for the next day, then a further, more invasive surgery was performed on August 19th. "This of course forced the cancellation of the bands September European tour causing a myriad of financial issues due to flights, hotels and transportation that were already paid for and in most cases are non refundable. "John is healing very slowly but steady. This has been very hard emotionally and financially for the Gallagher family. Rock legend and longtime HardRadio friend GENE SIMMONS is recovering at home after he was involved in a crash October 7 on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, CA. The KISS bassist and vocalist's Lincoln Navigator crashed into a parked car, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department told NBC4 Investigates. A witness called 911 and deputies and firefighters responded to the scene. Simmons, 76, was speaking with first responders, authorities said. He told deputies he passed out or fainted, then hit the parked car, the sheriff's department said. Wife Shannon Tweed told NBC4 Investigates that Simmons is recovering at home. She said doctors recently changed his medications and that he needs to drink more water - something of which he's not a fan. She said his SUV careened across several lanes of traffic in the crash and that he passed out.
Anthrax drummer and very longtime HardRadio friend CHARLIE BENANTE and The Violent Hour vocalist CARLA HARVEY were married on October 12 in Las Vegas, NV. KISS legend Gene Simmons officiated the wedding ceremony attended by more than 200 guests, including members of KISS, Dream Theater, and Motley Crue. Former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick attended the wedding and posted photos / video commenting: "A fun rockin' time at Charlie and Carla Benante's beautiful Wedding. Gene officiated, Elvis appeared, Las Vegas Show girls with great music, delicious food, a drone show in the sky above. Thank you Charlie and Carla for an amazing evening in Las Vegas."
