Great White's MARK KENDALL has stage 4 kidney cancer. The 68-year-old guitarist revealed the news in a Facebook post: "Hello Friends! "Just wanted everyone to know I was diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney cancer a few months ago. I wanted to wait to go public until I knew a little more about it. "Just to give you an update the tumor has shrunk from 13 centimeters to 8, so I'm going in the right direction with my first scan. There isn't a cure for cancer but what I have is manageable. I have the best doctors in the world and one of them invented Immunotherapy which is the treatment I'm on. "I only had to do 3 radiation treatments which is a good thing! To be clear, I don't need any financial help, but I'll take prayers & encouragement!" "I'm gonna fight this thing and be okay. People in my support group were diagnosed with my exact issue up to 20 years ago, so that is encouraging! "Blessings All!"
Greek power metal band FIREWIND - led by guitarist Gus G. (who played with Ozzy Osbourne from 2009 - 2017) - has split with vocalist Herbie Langhans (Avantasia, Sinbreed) and replaced him with their previous singer Henning Basse (Metalium, Sons Of Seasons, Withering Scorn). Gus shared the news about the Firewind lineup change earlier today (Thursday, November 20) during a YouTube livestream, which can be seen below. He stated: "A lot of things have been happening. It seems that it's been a quiet year for Firewind, but it has not been a quiet year at all. It's been an eventful year, and we are preparing for a lot of stuff in '26."
Swiss all-female heavy metal band BURNING WITCHES will be playing Canada for the first time ever in 2026. "Canada, are you ready?
