Scottish rock band NAZARETH best known for their hit singles "Hair Of The Dog" and "Love Hurts" have named Gianni Pontillo as their new lead vocalist. A statement from bassist Pete Agnew reads: [] "We would like to introduce you now to our new lead singer, Gianni Portillo. Those who have seen and heard Gianni will already know what an incredible voice he has, and those of you who haven't are in for a wonderful surprise when you come to see us in 2026. Next year is going to be one of the busiest in Nazareth's history so there is a good chance to see the new line up and we can't wait to introduce you to this man's amazing talent. See you in rock."
Formed in 1988 in Coral Springs, FL, the original longtime HardRadio friends SAIGON KICK line-up featured vocalist Matt Kramer, lead guitarist Jason Bieler, bassist Tom Defile, and drummer Phil Varone. Following Kramer's departure in 1993 the band went through several line-up changes before reuniting briefly in 2012. In recent years, Bieler has been doing shows with vocalist Jeff Scott Soto (Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Sons Of Apollo, Ellefson-Soto) keeping Saigon Kick's music alive. Guitarist VINNIE VINCENT - who was a member of KISS from 1982 - 1984, and then played in his own band, Vinnie Vincent Invasion from 1984 - 1988, has released a new solo song, "Ride The Serpent". Vincent says "Given there are so many number one lead off tracks from [new album] Judgment Day Guitarmageddon, it was near impossible to pick one, however I ultimately chose 'Ride The Serpent'. A nearly eight minute, intense guitar powerdrive featuring Vinnie Vincent on guitars and bass, Robert Fleischman on vocals and Keary Jordan on drums.
