Very longtime HardRadio friend ROSS "THE BOSS" FRIEDMAN has died at the age of 72. A founding member of Manowar and The Dictators, his death comes a month after the announcement of his ALS diagnosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Manowar says in a statement: "It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Ross "The Boss" Friedman, following his recently announced ALS diagnosis. [] "Music was Ross's life, and he left his mark across both heavy metal and punk rock. Rest in peace, Ross." Ross played with Manowar on six full-length albums, leaving the band after 1988's Kings Of Metal. He rode a solo career under the name Ross The Boss on four full-length albums and his final release of music was Death Dealer's Reign Of Steel issued in January.
