Greece’s premier Dio tribute band, Rock ‘N’ Roll Children – Yiannis Papanikolaou (vocals), Manolis Tsigkos (guitar), John Luna Tsimas (bass), Nikos Anastasiadis (drums) and George Georgiou (keyboards) – is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the 1986 HEAR ‘N AID CHARITY PROJECT “Stars” and recruited 50+ Greek singers, as well as Harry “The Tyrant” Conklin, and guitarists who recorded a cover of the classic anthem for charity. They also filmed a video shot at the same style as the original with all the musicians during the recordings of the songs, as well as the huge choir with 50 members laying down their vocal tracks at the prestigious Sierra Studios in Athens. All proceedings of this effort will go to Christodoulion Orphanage in Athens, Greece. Check a video of the project below:
