WDR Rockpalast has shared professionally-filmed footage of German guitar hero ULI JON ROTH performing "All Along The Watchtower" the track written by Bob Dylan and made famous by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, live at Rock Hard Festival 2026. Uli Jon Roth, also known as Ulrich Roth, was born in Dusseldorf and served as guitarist and songwriter for the Scorpions from 1973 to 1978. He left the band for artistic reasons, as he wanted to pursue a solo career and explore new sounds. Jimi Hendrix and Cream have always been among his greatest influences. In addition to his work with his band Electric Sun, Roth went on to compose symphonies and concertos. Watch below:
