Chris Boltendahl comments on "The Number": "'The Number' is far more than just a song - it is a cry against forgetting and a memorial to humanity. We look back at one of the darkest chapters in history. There was a time when people were stripped of their names, their identities and their dignity. Instead, numbers were burned into their skin. They were no longer seen as human beings, but treated like animals - trapped in an unimaginable system of systematic inhumanity. When we look at the world today, a justified fear begins to creep in: the fear that these horrific times, in a different form, could one day return.
