UK metal gods and very longtime HardRadio friends JUDAS PRIEST have announced that original bassist IAN HILL is retiring from the band. A statement reads: "It is with heavy hearts that we are sending out this personal message from our lan....he has been the backbone of Judas Priest for so long and will be greatly missed by us all....we wish him well in his retirement and welcome Davey into the Priest family." Ian Hill statement: "Hello everyone, for a long time now, when asked 'How long can you continue" I've always answered 'Until my performances suffer'. I hate to say it, but that time has come. For some years now, I've been struggling with the onset of the evil arthritis, which is now in an advanced state in my left shoulder and right hand, established in my right shoulder, and present in both knees. I've been fighting this with painkilling pills, gels, and recently with cortisone injections in my shoulder and hand."

Very longtime HardRadio friends MOTLEY CRUE have released a newly remastered version of "Take Me To The Top" (Leathur Records Version) on all streaming services, from the special 45th Anniversary Limited Edition Box Set of their legendary debut album Too Fast For Love, out October 30. One of their Top 10 streaming tracks across their iconic catalog, "Take Me To The Top" returned to the band's setlist for the first time in 42 years during the recently completed 33-date The Return Of The Carnival Of Sins tour. One of the best debut albums of all time, Too Fast For Love was the first great Los Angeles hard rock album of the '80s, helping kick open the doors for that decade's fertile Hollywood rock scene, as well as the signing frenzy and imitators that followed. Originally self-released in November 1981 in a pressing of just 900 LPs on the band's own Leathur Records imprint, Too Fast For Love was a true DIY statement. Fueled by the Crue's explosive live shows, the album quickly became a sought-after underground release and Elektra Records signed the band less than six months later.

BILLY IDOL and longtime guitarist and collaborator STEVE STEVENS will be honored by the City of Los Angeles on Friday, November 13, with a decree proclaiming BILLY IDOL DAY. Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez will present the decree during a City Council session, followed by a free public celebration and acoustic duo performance at City Hall. The outdoor event will take place on the steps at City Hall Park in Downtown Los Angeles, where Idol and Stevens will perform with special surprise guests. Fans are invited to attend the festivities, which come one day before the pair's induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
