I went with Bark at the Moon.
From the moment I hear Ozzy's solo stuff, I was hooked. I was growing up while Randy was on tour with Ozzy and missed my chance to see him (mom did not let me go see the concert. Crying or Very sad )
But after Randy passed away, we (kids at school) were waiting to see how the new album was going to sound. (this is pre-Internet days as we know them) And for me, it just blew me away!!!

I'm with Deffy when I say that Bark At The Moon was an important Ozzy album for me. Believe it or not this release was the first Ozzy album I'd heard and the one that got me hooked! Although I wasn't yet into Ozzy when his Speak of The Devil tour stopped by my town, I'm sure my mom wouldn't have let me go either. Wink Sad thing is had I known this would be last time Ozzy would play my town, I definitely would have gone. Sad

Coop, where is this town?
Ozzy has not been in Houston in over a decade.

He was here for Ozzfest 2000 and Ozzy was scheduled for the Merry Mayhem Tour in 2001 (with Zombie and Mudvayn) but he broke his foot in a Phoenix show and canceled, never to return.
He seems to favor for some reason Selma (san antonio). I miss those days where bands toured small towns, in Texas that would be Beaumont, Laredo, Corpus Christi.

My home is in Sudbury, Ontario. Approx. 250 miles north of Toronto. The last show Ozzy played here was during his Speak of the Devil tour. I guess that would be in the early 80s.

I went with Bark at the Moon, I liked a great deal... and to be honest it has hoards of nostalgia for me. Being one of my first fangirl albums as well as the first I hear in it's entirety from Ozzy. Wink

Tough decision. I like Blizzard, Bark At The Moon, No Rest For The Wicked, and Diary of A Madman just about equally, but Diary of A Madman edges them out by a slim margin.

Randy sounds like he's having such a good time playing (especially on S.A.T.O.), it always makes me smile when I listen to it.

after bark at the moon to me ozzy has 100% sukked,
not one song have i liked and i dont care for any guitar on any of his solo albums since jake e. lee

i seen ozzy/randy rhodes sept 8, 1981 /with def leppard (pete willis)
and i seen van halen a few months prior,
randy slayed eddie.
he played with his eyes closed and just ripped with his head bakk
he wasnt a very mobile guitarist.
but he didnt have to be. he was a master !!!

'blizzard of oz' for sure

favorite ozzy vocals: "SWEET LEAF" naturaly !!!
