Michael Sweet (Stryper) on vocals, George Lynch (Dokken) on guitars... This isn't quite as heavy as probably most of us here prefer, but there is some good music on this CD. I am truly enjoying track 2, Dying Rose. If you haven't heard it yet, definitely check it out. Picture a Dokken and Stryper crossover (without Don), but modernized a bit. Lynch hasn't lost his touch and you can tell his technique has matured, getting a bit more bluesy. As for Sweet's vocals, time hasn't touched this guy, he sounds great. The first track, The Wish sounds very much like it could have come off a new Stryper album. I also very much like track 4, Time Will Tell. It's a basic hard rock song. Even the dreaded ballad here is good, track 6, Me Without You. Gives a slight nod to Dokken's Alone Again. Nice arpeggio intro and changing to a heavy ballad a bit more into the song when the drums and distortion kick in.
If you've ever liked Stryper or Dokken, this will be well worth a listen! Smile
