Yepp White Skull are from Italy and have released two albums. I've got both, but have actually missed they've got a female singer... hmmm... better get home and check that out.

Definitely agree with the Sinergy suggestion. Power shred metal with a female singer. |

Tristania also has a female singer, but I don't really dig the band.
I second the recommendations for Nightwish. |

It all depends on what kind of female vocals you're looking for.
The soprano/operatic kind, bringing to mind a huge blonde lady in a Viking helmet:
Nightwish
Tristania, Sins Of Thy Beloved, pretty much any of these Napalm bands, really
The breathy/lounge-singer kind, bringing to mind some lady reclining on a grand piano with a seriously retro microphone in her hand:
Theatre Of Tragedy (uh, pre-_Musique_)
Darkwell, from what I hear
The sexy-but-gutsy kind, bringing to mind...I'm at a loss for non-metal comparisons here, maybe Johnette Napolitano from Concrete Blonde minus all the coffee and cigarettes?
The Gathering
Lacuna Coil
Death vocals
Arch Enemy, upcoming.
Straight-up hard rock/metal vocals
Power Symphony
Cycle Sluts From Hell (not recommended unless you're a HUGE Overkill fan who simply must have everything that every member that was ever in this band ever had a hand in, and Bobby Gustafson's on one song)
Phantom Blue
Rarely actually sings, but for some reason a woman keeps showing up to talk:
Cradle Of Filth
No actual words in her vocals, it's kinda like the theme to "Star Trek" placed in half of their songs:
C/Kovenant
Looks-like-a-woman-but-we're-not-gonna-look-too-close-to-confirm
Mr. Big
Nelson
Dark Tranquillity (before Mikael grew a beard) |

Yeah, I like Sinergy as well. Has anyone heard the song by Eternal Tears of Sorrow called "Bride Of The Crimson Sea", it features the singers vocals and I think it's great. |
