DEMON Interview Page 7
By Bob Nalbandian

SW: I always felt that the NWOBHM was very diverse musically, even though it has been pigeon-holed and credited as being one-dimensional. The fact is, you had bands like Motorhead and Venom, yet you also had [the lighter, more progressive] bands like Demon, Magnum, Praying Mantes, Marillion, etc... And those bands would still take part on the metal festivals and still gain respect from the metal fans.
DAVE: In England, you did have rock bands, like you say - Demon, Magnum, Marillion -that were different from everybody else. Some of the bands were harder, but there was always that cross-section, more so than most other music that came across, like punk, etc. I think we've just developed over the years.
